Hi!

I am a Chanakya Postdoctoral fellow at IISER Pune, working under Dr. Ashish Arora on magneto-optics Kerr spectroscopy.

I completed my Ph.D. in Physics from the IISER Bhopal under the supervision of Prof. Adarsh K. V.

My research interests are

1) Multiple exciton generation in transition metal dichalcogenides.

2) Exciton dynamics of nanoscale semiconductors and their heterostructures.

3) Third-order nonlinear optical response of semiconductors quantum dots.

We employ ultrafast (120 fs) pump-probe transient absorption spectroscopy and Z-scan technique to explore various time-resolved and third-order nonlinear optical properties of semiconductors.

I have work experience on collaborative projects with Prof. Matthew C. Beard (NREL, USA),  Dr. Elisa Miller (NREL, USA), Prof. Thalappil Pradeep (IIT Madras), Prof. Amit Agarwal (IIT Kanpur, India), and Dr. Debjani Karmakar (Uppsala Universitet, Sweden).

I received my MS degree in 2019 under the guidance of Prof. Ravi Prakash Singh from the crystal growth lab, IISER Bhopal. My MS thesis title is "Investigating Magnetic Properties in Chiral Helimagnetic Cr1/3NbS2".

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and watching movies. I'm also fond of traveling to beautiful places.
